FAQ
Short answers. For billing, start here before emailing us.
Insidr aggregates public SEC Form 4 insider trades and US congressional STOCK Act disclosures into one live feed. We show the filing as filed — no spin, no personalized stock picks.
Free sees both tabs and search, but filings newer than 48 hours are locked. Pro unlocks real-time rows and the full current snapshot. Details and pricing: see pricing.
Yes — monthly Pro includes a 3-day free trial via Stripe Checkout (card required). Cancel before the trial ends and you won't be charged. Annual Checkout has no trial. Manage or cancel anytime from Manage subscription.
Pro members get a personal link on Manage subscription. When someone starts monthly Pro with that link, both of you get a $25 Stripe account credit after their first paid invoice (not during the free trial). You must be on an active (paid or manual) Pro plan to receive credit — trial-only accounts wait until they convert. Fair-use cap: 5 successful credits per referrer per rolling 30 days. Codes are tied to your billing email; each new subscriber can redeem a referral once.
Create an alert on Email alerts for a ticker or insider/filer name. We email a confirmation link (expires in 24 hours); nothing alerts until you confirm. Free: 1 alert, same 48-hour delay as the public feed. Pro: up to 25 alerts, sent when we process the match (no free-tier delay). Each alert email and the confirm email include unsubscribe. Congress alerts are not available yet.
Check spam/junk (from alerts@insidr.so), and that you typed the same email you meant to use. Confirm links expire in 24 hours — if it's dead, create the alert again on Email alerts. Restore-access and refund/delete confirms are the same pattern. We don't open-track emails; if nothing arrives after a few minutes and spam is empty, try again or email support.
Yes — from Manage subscription, choose Pause for 30 days. You keep Pro access; Stripe voids invoices during the pause and resumes collection afterward. One pause per subscription. Pausing is not a refund.
Pause (30 days): You keep Pro. Confirmed alerts stay on Pro rules (up to 25, immediate when we process a match).
Cancel: After Pro ends, you're on Free entitlement — 1 confirmed alert, delayed like the feed. Extra alerts aren't deleted automatically, but only Free limits apply at send time.
Card fails / past due: Treated like Free for alerts until billing is active or trialing again. Fix the card in Manage subscription (Stripe portal) to restore Pro alert timing.
/person/… and /ticker/… load a recent Form 4 slice from EDGAR — on production, up to about 30 filings, not a full archive. Older activity may exist at the SEC and not appear here.
Example: Open AAPL from the feed → ticker page shows the latest open-market buys/sells in that slice. Click a filer name → person page for their recent Form 4s (and congress rows if we have a name match). Free still locks rows inside the 48-hour window; Pro shows those unlocked.
Open Manage subscription while signed in as Pro. You can pause billing for 30 days (you keep Pro; invoices are voided, then collection resumes), or continue to the Stripe Customer Portal to update your card or cancel renewals. Canceling stops future charges; it does not automatically refund a past charge.
Self-serve within 7 days of a charge: request a refund. We email a confirmation link first — the Stripe refund only runs after you click it. Outside that window you can still cancel future billing via the portal. Full policy: Refund Policy.
We display publicly available government filings. Nothing on Insidr is investment advice or a recommendation to buy or sell. Read our Terms and the Trust section on the homepage.
No. These are required disclosures of reported trading activity — not findings of misconduct, insider trading, or wrongdoing. Insidr shows what was filed publicly; it does not investigate or allege anything beyond the disclosure itself. See our Terms.
Free is a delayed tape so real-time access stays a Pro feature. Same public sources either way — Pro just removes the wait.
Example: An insider's trade date is Monday 15 September. Free unlocks that row at Wednesday 17 September, 12:00 UTC (noon on the trade date + 48 hours). Pro sees it as soon as it's in our feed (usually within the ~15-minute refresh). The SEC filing clock can be later than the trade date — Free still keys off the trade date, not the moment the Form 4 hits EDGAR.
We refresh from SEC EDGAR and congressional disclosure sources on a roughly 15-minute cache. When a source is down we serve the last good snapshot and show a delay notice. Live probes: system status.
Pro is tied to a browser cookie after checkout. On a new device, use restore access with your billing email — we email you a one-time link that unlocks that browser (expires in 24 hours).
Enter the email you used for signup or Pro — we'll email a confirmation link, and only delete after you click it. If you still have an active subscription, cancel billing first — we won't delete while Pro is active. Confirmed deletion removes your waitlist email, status-alert signup, Form 4 alerts (and related tokens/deliveries), and Pro subscription row from our database. We keep a short deletion-request log for disputes. Stripe may retain payment history.
Filings can be late, amended, or incomplete at the source. If something looks off on our side, send a short report — we log it in Postgres for review (no auto-reply).
